What is lead management?
Lead management is the process of capturing leads, deciding which are worth pursuing, assigning them, following up and recording what happens until they become customers or drop out. Good lead management means no lead is forgotten and no lead is contacted twice by mistake.

What are the stages?
| Stage | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Capture | Where did this lead come from? |
| Qualify | Is it a fit, and is it a good time? |
| Assign | Who or what works it, on which channel? |
| Follow up | What is the next step and when? |
| Close or drop | Did it become a customer, or why not? |
Where does it usually break?
- Leads arrive in several places and are never merged.
- Nobody owns the follow up.
- The same person is contacted by two people.
- A lead that said no is contacted again.
What does a good system show?
For every lead: where it came from, every message on every channel, its stage and the next action. And for the team: which leads are waiting, which are stuck, and which sources produce meetings.
How Sellinger handles it
A built in CRM with contacts, deals and the full conversation history across channels, and a two way sync with HubSpot. Leads can be grouped into segments, assigned to a campaign and a channel account, and routed by rules. Duplicates are skipped on import and the Merge Suggestions page finds the rest. Leads you give up on are discarded, not removed.
