Template: replying to an inbound lead

An inbound lead expects a fast, useful answer. Reply to what they asked first, ask one question that helps you prepare, and offer a time or a link. Do not send a questionnaire. Below are versions for a demo request, a price question and a general inquiry.

Version 1: demo request
Subject: Your demo request

Hi [first name],

Thanks for reaching out. So I can show you the right part: is the main goal [option 1] or [option 2]? Here are two times: [day, time] or [day, time], or pick one here: [link].

Version 2: price question
Subject: Pricing for [Company]

Hi [first name],

[Published price or range]. It depends mainly on [factor]. How many [units] are you thinking of? Then I can give you an exact figure.
Version 3: general inquiry
Subject: Your question about [topic]

Hi [first name],

[Answer in two sentences]. Is this for [use case 1] or something else?

What it measured

Not these exact words. In the Hotel Pirin reservations campaign, a related party, a rule to quote as soon as the dates and party were known raised the share of replies carrying a price from 50% to 92%. Sellinger's own outbound found that cutting reply time from 19 to 2 minutes did not lift meetings on its own; the list mattered more.

When not to use it

  • When the lead is clearly spam or a vendor pitch.
  • With a price you have not published or approved.

How to use it in Sellinger

Facebook lead form leads are polled from a sheet every 60 seconds and Google Ads leads every 300 seconds, then created as leads and contacted by the campaign (Google Ads leads default to WhatsApp as the first channel). The inbound rule pack filters noise and flags complaints and large deals.

Common questions

How fast should I reply to an inbound lead?
As fast as you can do it well. Minutes beat hours.
Should I send a questionnaire?
No. Ask one question and offer a time.
Should I share prices by email?
Published prices, yes. Custom quotes after you know the details.
