LinkedIn message and invite limits in Sellinger

Open Channels, then LinkedIn, open the account and choose the Limits tab. Two sliders set the daily Message Limit and the daily Invitation Limit. Each has a green zone that Sellinger recommends staying inside to avoid LinkedIn restrictions. The agent cannot go over what you set.

Start low on a new account or one that was restricted before. LinkedIn does not publish its own limits.

Open the account
Go to Channels, then LinkedIn, and open the account's drawer.

Open Limits
Choose the Limits tab. The dialog is called Configure with the account's name.

Set the Invitation Limit
Drag Invitation Limit. The slider runs from 0 to 35. Green is up to 20, yellow up to 25 and red above that.

Set the Message Limit
Drag Message Limit. The slider runs from 0 to 150. Green is up to 80, yellow up to 120 and red above that.

Check the sleep window
Further down, Enable Custom Sleep Time lets you set the hours with no sending. Off means Sellinger detects the account's time zone and sleeps from 1 AM to 8 AM. The custom fields are labelled CET.

Save the settings. They apply from the next send.

What happens next

The agent spreads its sends over the day and stops at the limit. Sellinger also varies the invitation total by a few each day, and there is a weekly invitation cap that defaults to 150.

Good to know

The dialog recommends keeping both limits in the green zone.
The slider bounds are set by the screen. Do not read them as LinkedIn's limits.

Common questions

What are the defaults?

The code default for invitations is 20 a day and 150 a week, with a quiet window of 01:00 to 08:00 account time. The screen may show a different starting value for an existing account.

Can I send more than LinkedIn allows?

No setting can lift LinkedIn's own limits, and sending too much risks a restriction.

Do InMail messages use these limits?

InMail is a separate message type. Its first touch is live for all accounts.
