Pending LinkedIn invitations: what happens and how cleanup works

A lead shows as invite sent, not accepted yet while its invitation waits. Sellinger does not expire invitations by itself. An optional setting, Auto-Cleanup Stale Invitations, withdraws invitations older than 30 days once 250 or more are pending, up to 100 a day.

Check how many are pending
Open Channels, then LinkedIn. If many invitations are waiting, the account card shows a banner that says high pending invitations and points you to Limits.

Open the account's Limits
Open the account drawer and choose the Limits tab (the dialog is titled with the account name).

Turn on cleanup if you want it
Switch on Auto-Cleanup Stale Invitations.

Review inbound invitations
While you are there, check Handle New Invitations, which controls what the agent does with invitations people send to you.

What happens next

With cleanup on, Sellinger checks about once a day. It only acts when 250 or more invitations are pending, and it withdraws only invitations older than 30 days, oldest first, at most 100 a day and never more than half of the eligible ones.

Good to know

The high pending warning appears when 400 or more are pending.
The app has no button to withdraw one invitation by hand. Cleanup is the only withdraw path a user controls.
The text next to the switch may describe the cleanup in different words. This article follows what the cleanup does in the code.
A lead whose invitation you withdrew is not contacted again by that invitation. Check the lead's status in the CRM before you re-invite.

Common questions

Why do so many pending invitations matter?

What is IGNORED_INVITE?

It is the status of an invitation that someone sent you and your agent did not accept.

Can I turn cleanup off again?
