What are technographics?
Technographics describe the technology a company uses: its CRM, website platform, cloud provider, ecommerce system or industry software. Sales teams use them to find companies that use a product theirs works with, replaces or improves. They are a strong fit signal when your product depends on a specific system.

How do sales teams use technographics?
- Integration fit: target companies using a system your product connects to.
- Displacement: target companies using a competitor, with a reason to switch.
- Readiness: a company on a modern platform may adopt faster than one on an old one.
- Message: mention the system they use, which makes the message specific.
Where does tech stack data come from?
Mostly from what is visible from outside: scripts and tags on a company's website, DNS records, job posts that mention tools, and public case studies. Internal systems that leave no public trace are hard to detect, so absence of a tool in the data does not prove the company does not use it.
What are the limits?
| Limit | Why |
|---|---|
| Website tools only | Back office systems are often invisible from outside |
| Old installs | A script can stay on a site after the contract ends |
| Trials | A tag from a trial looks like a customer |
| Mentions in job posts | A tool in a job post may be wished for, not used |
How Sellinger handles it
Sellinger does not sell a technographic dataset. You can import an account list built from one, and the agent researches each company before writing. Job posts that name a tool can be tracked with the Hiring for Position signal. Sellinger has intent signals on LinkedIn with 26 ready made signal templates in 8 categories, included with every bundle.
