What is a LinkedIn Open Profile?
A LinkedIn Open Profile is a Premium setting that lets any member send the person an InMail without being connected, and without spending an InMail credit. For outreach it means a free first message, if the person has the setting on.

Why does it matter for outreach?
Credits are limited, so a free InMail is the cheapest first touch. Not every person has the setting, and you cannot assume how many in a list do. Check a small sample before you plan around it.
How Sellinger handles it
When InMail is on for an account, the agent checks whether the lead's profile is open. If it is, it sends an InMail and LinkedIn does not charge a credit. If LinkedIn refuses a free InMail during a cycle, the account stops trying it for the rest of that cycle. See the InMail product page and the credit planner, where the Open Profile share is your own estimate.
