What are Facebook lead ads?
Facebook lead ads are adverts that open a form inside Facebook or Instagram, pre filled with the person's details. The person taps, submits and the advertiser receives their contact data. They convert well because there is no landing page, but the leads cool quickly.

How do they work?
You create a campaign with a lead form: questions, a thank you screen and a privacy link. People who tap the ad see the form already filled with their Facebook details. When they submit, the lead goes to you, usually to a sheet or a CRM through an integration.
Why is speed important?
A person who filled a form on their phone is thinking about it now. The same person an hour later is doing something else. Contacting the lead within minutes is the main lever on conversion for form leads. See speed to lead.
What goes wrong?
- Leads sit in a sheet until someone opens it.
- The first message is generic and ignores what the form asked.
- Some form leads are low quality because the form was too easy to submit.
How Sellinger handles it
Facebook lead form leads are polled from a sheet every 60 seconds and Google Ads leads every 300 seconds, then created as leads and contacted by the campaign (Google Ads leads default to WhatsApp as the first channel).
The agent contacts the lead on the first channel you set, which can be WhatsApp or email. See the speed to lead use case for how a campaign is set up.
