How to connect WhatsApp
You link WhatsApp by scanning a QR code with the phone that holds the account. Sellinger then sends first messages and follow ups through your connected WhatsApp account and answers people who write first. WhatsApp itself limits outbound messaging, so first messages run at a small daily volume.

Before you start
- The phone that holds the WhatsApp account, with the app open.
- An internet connection on the phone while the link is made.
- A decision on how many first messages you are comfortable sending, since WhatsApp limits them.
Steps

Open the WhatsApp channel
Click Channels in the sidebar, then WhatsApp.

Click Connect WhatsApp
A short wizard opens. Choose WhatsApp Business / Personal.

Open the secure linking page
Click Connect. A page with a QR code opens.

Scan the QR code
On your phone open WhatsApp, go to Linked devices and scan the code. The account links automatically once scanned.

Set limits and instant reply
Back in Sellinger, open the account and review Daily Limits, Warm-up Mode and Instant Reply, then attach it to an agent campaign.
What happens next
The account appears on the WhatsApp channel page. Attach it to an agent campaign and the agent answers people who write first and can send first messages and follow ups at a small daily volume.
Good to know
- Sellinger does not use the WhatsApp Business API. It works through the account you connect.
- Warm-up Mode restricts sending to conservative levels for new accounts.
- Instant Reply decides whether an incoming message gets an AI answer within seconds or waits for the next background cycle.
- Contacts who write STOP or similar are added to your suppression list and not messaged again. See opt outs.
