How to connect Facebook Messenger
Open Channels, then Facebook and Instagram, click Connect Facebook Page and log in with Facebook. Tick the Pages you want to connect. Sellinger then answers Messenger messages for those Pages, can reply to comments, and can answer Instagram messages if the Page has a linked Instagram business account.

Before you start
- You must administer the Facebook Page. The list only shows Pages your Facebook account manages.
- Nothing is connected without you ticking it.
- Have your knowledge base and persona ready. The agent answers from them.

Open the channel
Go to Channels and open Facebook & Instagram.

Start the connection
Click Connect Facebook Page. Use Connect more Pages later to add another.

Log in and grant access
Facebook asks you to log in and approve the permissions.

Choose the Pages
On Choose the Pages to connect, tick the Pages and click the connect button with the count. The choice screen is valid for 15 minutes.

Open the Page settings
Open the Page's drawer. Check Page active, Reply to DMs instantly and Send replies without approval.

Set comment handling
Choose Reply to comments and Comment to DM if you want them. The comment mode can be "AI decides (recommended)", "Only matching rules" or "Off".
What happens next
The agent starts answering messages that arrive at the Page. It can hand over to a person, which you control with the Hand over to a person toggle.
Good to know
- Comment to DM sends one private message per comment, within 7 days of the comment. That limit is Meta's.
- Public comment replies need a permission that Meta may not have granted for every Page. Test the setting on one post before you rely on it.
- If a Page also has Instagram connected by username, a notice offers to let the Page answer Instagram instead.
- Personal messages from friends can be handled with Only flag them, Hold them back or Treat everything as business.
