Sellinger vs Expandi (2026): LinkedIn safety controls or an agent that handles the replies

The short answer

Expandi is a LinkedIn tool built around account safety, with a dedicated IP per account and native connections to HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, at $99 per seat a month. Sellinger puts an agent in front of the conversation: it writes, answers and books, on more channels, for a higher price per LinkedIn account. If you design your own campaigns and need that safety model or Salesforce today, Expandi fits; if you want the conversation handled, Sellinger does.

Expandi is a cloud based LinkedIn outreach tool with an inbox and an Agency plan, sold per seat. Sellinger is an AI SDR that picks buyers, writes to them, handles the replies and books the call.

AI and replies

No native AI reply agent is listed. Expandi MCP lets your own assistant draft campaigns and inbox replies for your approval; it cannot activate a campaign or start new outreach. Pages differ on its beta status.

The agent writes the first message and every follow up, answers replies and books the meeting. You can require approval before anything sends.

LinkedIn safety model

Cloud based, with a dedicated country matched IP per account, automatic warm up that starts slowly, daily limit ranges Expandi will not let you exceed, and randomised delays. Weekly connection requests follow LinkedIn, about 100.

Your own account connects through a hosted login and Sellinger stores no LinkedIn password. Default limits are 20 invitations a day and 150 a week, with a quiet window at night. No tool can guarantee against restrictions.

Who should choose which

Choose Expandi if

  • you design your own LinkedIn campaigns and want a dedicated IP per account, a slow automatic warm up and daily limits the tool enforces.
  • your CRM is Salesforce or Pipedrive and you need a native connection now. Sellinger lists Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho as coming soon.
  • you run an agency of 10 or more seats and want a custom plan with white label, client reports and a dedicated customer success manager.
  • you mainly need LinkedIn and want a lower price: $99 per seat a month against $198 for a Sellinger LinkedIn agent.

Choose Sellinger if

  • you want an agent that starts conversations and answers on its own. Expandi's MCP drafts for your approval and cannot start new outreach.
  • you want email, WhatsApp, Instagram and live chat handled by the same agent, not a separate cold email tool.
  • you want a CRM with deals and a database of 700M+ contacts inside the product, neither of which is listed for Expandi.
  • you want to read the first messages before they go, then leave the agent to send.

What it costs for one, five and ten LinkedIn accounts

An Expandi seat appears to be one LinkedIn account with all features; teammates and customers join a workspace free. A Sellinger LinkedIn agent adds the AI that writes and answers. Expandi costs less at every size below.

Prices are monthly, in US dollars. The annual toggle, labelled 20% off, shows Business at $79 a month, paid upfront for the year. Volume discounts are mentioned but not priced, so the five seat figure is before any discount.

Who starts the conversation and who answers

In Expandi you design the campaign from 11 types and branch it on accepts, replies and engagement, then answer in a smart inbox. Expandi MCP is the AI route: your own assistant builds lists and drafts campaigns and replies for your approval, and sending after approval works for existing threads only.

On Sellinger the agent starts the conversation: it looks into each prospect, writes the opening message and each follow up, replies and books. You can require approval first, and the agent hands over when it cannot answer.

Expandi's safety model and the Mobile Connector

Safety is a clear Expandi strength: a dedicated IP in your country for each account, a slow automatic warm up and limit ranges the tool enforces.

The pages disagree on the Mobile Connector: the pricing page says it adds 100 requests a week, the help center says it adds 50 to 100 and no longer bypasses the weekly limit. We used the help center.

Sellinger connects your account through a hosted login with no LinkedIn password stored. Its defaults are 20 invitations a day and 150 a week. This page claims no dedicated IP or warm up for Sellinger, and no tool can guarantee against restrictions.

Agencies, renewals and refunds

Expandi's Agency plan is quoted through sales. Sellinger's partner portal sits on your own domain with unlimited client workspaces; it costs a $500 one time setup fee, then the standard agent prices.

Expandi fees are non refundable, subscriptions renew automatically, annual billing is paid upfront and the payment date cannot be changed. Its FAQ says a monthly plan can be cancelled at any time.

Switching between Expandi and Sellinger

You can try Sellinger beside Expandi, provided each tool has a separate LinkedIn account.

  1. Connect a LinkedIn account that no Expandi campaign uses.
  2. Load a list of prospects or search the contact database, then describe what you sell.
  3. Read the first messages in approval mode before letting the agent send alone.
  4. Compare replies and booked meetings per account over several weeks.
  • Expandi campaigns, tags and inbox history do not move across. We have not checked what Expandi exports.
  • Check your Expandi renewal date first: fees are non refundable, and annual plans are paid upfront.

Questions about Expandi and Sellinger

Is Expandi ever the better choice?
Yes. For your own campaigns with a dedicated IP per account, native Salesforce or Pipedrive connections or a custom Agency plan, Expandi fits, at $99 a seat against $198 for a Sellinger LinkedIn agent.
Does Expandi have an AI that replies for me?
No native AI reply agent is listed. Expandi MCP lets your own assistant draft replies for your approval, and its pages disagree on whether the MCP is in private beta or available.
Does the Mobile Connector still add connection requests?
Yes. The help center says it adds 50 to 100 requests a week, the pricing page says 100. It needs 2FA and is blocked for 2 weeks after the regular limit is hit.
Does the Expandi trial need a card?
Expandi's marketing pages offer 7 days free and do not say whether a card is needed. Check at sign up. Sellinger offers 30 days free on messaging modules, no card required.
