Who should stay with Sales Navigator

  • You want LinkedIn's own search with 50+ filters, lead and account alerts, and relationship maps across a team, none of which depend on a third party tool.
  • You want InMail, 50 a month on the plans page, and Message Assist and AI drafts, which LinkedIn lists in public beta in select languages.
  • You need the CRM connections LinkedIn lists: Salesforce, HubSpot Smart CRM, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle Sales, with Microsoft Teams alerts.
  • You want zero third party access to your account. Sales Navigator is LinkedIn's own product, so it carries no automation risk that LinkedIn's rules on prohibited software describe.

Who should look elsewhere

From the vendor's own pages, not from user reviews, which this page does not collect. These describe scope, not faults.
  • You want the messaging to run for you. The pages checked describe search, alerts, InMail and AI drafts, and no scheduled sequences or autonomous agents.
  • You want emails and phone numbers for people outside LinkedIn's walls. Sales Navigator is built around the LinkedIn network, and a data tool lists contact details separately.
  • You want a price per outcome. A license is paid per seat per month whether or not it books a call.
  • You want your pipeline and replies in one place. Sales Navigator hands that to a CRM through an integration.

What LinkedIn says about automation tools

LinkedIn's own help page on prohibited software, read 19 October 2026, says LinkedIn does not permit third party software that automates activity, and that using it can lead to restricted accounts.

Any tool in the alternatives table that sends invitations or messages for you works in that area. Check your own risk tolerance before you choose one, and see how each vendor describes its safety model on its own page.

Alternatives by need

Prices are each vendor's list price on the monthly view, with what the price counts. They are not equivalent units, so compare what the price includes before comparing the number.

Where Sellinger fits, and where it does not

Sellinger fits when

  • You want a LinkedIn agent that writes the invitation, every follow up and the replies, and books the meeting, not a search tool you work by hand.
  • You connect your own LinkedIn account through a hosted login, and Sellinger stores no LinkedIn password. Default limits are 20 invitations a day and 150 a week, with a quiet window at night. No tool can guarantee against a restriction.
  • You want approval control: A campaign can run in approval mode, where every message waits for a person to approve it, or send automatically. A person can take over any conversation, and the agent stops on its own when it cannot answer, for example a price it has no answer for.
  • You want to price per agent, not per license, with 30 days free on a messaging module and no card.

Sellinger is the wrong choice when

  • You want LinkedIn's own lead alerts, relationship maps and TeamLink across a sales team. Those are Sales Navigator features, and Sellinger does not replace them.
  • You cannot accept any third party working on your LinkedIn account. A native Sales Navigator seat is the lowest risk option under LinkedIn's rules.
  • You need Salesforce connected today. Sellinger lists Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho as coming soon, with a two way HubSpot sync today.
  • You only need to search and message a few dozen people a month by hand. A license at US$119.99 costs less than an agent at $198.

Switching notes

  • Export saved lead lists and your search URLs before ending a license, and note which accounts you saved as leads.
  • A Sales Navigator subscription and an agent can run side by side for a month, so you can compare what each produces for your list before you cancel one.
  • If you move to an agent, start a campaign in approval mode and read the first messages before they send.
  • Check the member ids in an exported list. Some ids come from Sales Navigator and are not usable by every connected account.
