Investor outreach with an AI agent: warm up investors who fit the round, share the deck only after interest
Investor outreach means finding investors whose stage, sector and check size match your round and starting a conversation that earns a meeting. Sellinger ships two fundraising goals, a Fundraising and Investors rule pack and a fundraising persona. The agent shares materials only after the investor shows interest. Sellinger has no published fundraising campaign, so no result is claimed.

Who has this job
A founder raising a pre seed or seed round who cannot spend evenings researching which funds invest at the right stage. A chief of staff who runs the investor list for a founder. An advisor who introduces companies to funds. The work is the same each time: build a short list of investors who fit, write to each one for a specific reason, and keep the conversation warm without sending a deck to a stranger.
How Sellinger runs it
- 1
Goal 1
Gauge openness first
"Gauge whether the investor is open to reviewing the deck or taking a brief ten-minute intro call about the round. Share materials only after interest is expressed."
- 2
Goal 2
Book thesis matched calls
"Book intro calls with investors whose thesis matches the company, target 3 quality conversations per week, and open with the specific reason they fit this round."
- 3
Reply
Escalate the deck request
The rule pack marks "Investor asks for the deck, data room, or key metrics" as needs attention, so a person decides what leaves the building.
- 4
Decline
Leave the door open
The persona answers a pass graciously, asks for feedback if appropriate and asks permission to share updates quarterly.
| Type | Rule as written in the product |
|---|---|
| Include | Investors active in our sector and stage |
| Exclude | Investors outside our stage, sector, or geography |
| Exclude | Salespeople, SDRs, and BDRs pitching their own services to us |
| Needs attention | Investor asks for the deck, data room, or key metrics |
| Needs attention | Lead wants a phone call or is ready to book a meeting |
| Needs attention | Lead asks to speak with a human, a manager, or a specific person |
The fundraising persona sets the manner. It asks the agent to research every investor and reference a specific portfolio company, thesis statement or recent investment. It bans generic spray outreach, never shares the deck or financials in the first message, never inflates metrics or misrepresents the cap table, and never names other investors in the round without their permission. It also says to confirm that the investor deploys at the company's stage, invests in the sector and has the check size capacity before asking for a partner meeting.
An example exchange
| Who | Message |
|---|---|
| Agent, day 0 | Hi Ana, I saw your fund backed [portfolio company] at seed. We are raising a seed round for a tool that does [one sentence]. Is early stage workflow software still a focus for you? |
| Investor | Yes, send me a short summary. |
| Agent | Thanks. In one paragraph: [stage, amount, traction]. Would a ten minute intro call next week make sense, or would you rather see the deck first? |
| Investor | Send the deck. |
| System | Deck request matches a needs attention rule. The agent stops and the founder is notified. |
Channels and limits
- LinkedIn is the usual first channel for investors. Each account has a daily invitation limit (default 20) and a weekly cap (default 150), and the investor list for one round is usually far smaller than that.
- Email follows when you hold the address. The persona asks for follow ups 7 to 10 days apart.
- A campaign can run in approval mode, where every message waits for a person to approve it, or send automatically. A person can take over any conversation, and the agent stops on its own when it cannot answer, for example a price it has no answer for. For investors, approval mode is the safe starting point: read the first ten messages before the rest go.
Finding investors: People Search searches a database of 700M+ contacts by title and company, and a CSV of your own investor list imports as leads. The funding signal template finds companies that announced rounds, which is a way to find the investors who led them.
Result
Sellinger has no published campaign for this job yet, so the page shows no result and no rate. When a dated campaign with its denominators exists, it will be added here.
