Customer renewal and churn outreach: open the renewal early and never let an account go silent
Renewal and churn outreach means writing to existing customers before they cancel: opening the renewal conversation early, checking in when usage drops and handing the account to a person when a customer goes quiet. Sellinger ships five customer success goals, a Customer Success and Upsell rule pack and customer success personas. Sellinger has no published renewal campaign, so no result is claimed.

Who has this job
A customer success lead with several hundred accounts and no time to write to the quiet ones. A founder who handles renewals alone. The job has a clear shape: speak first, bring a reason, and make sure someone sees every account that stops answering.
How Sellinger runs it
| Goal | Text |
|---|---|
| Support and upsell | Support existing customers: resolve issues promptly, collect feedback, and identify upsell and expansion opportunities. |
| Churn signals | Watch usage and engagement for churn signals and reach out proactively before the customer goes quiet, not after. |
| No silent abandon | Never silently abandon a customer: after the third unanswered touch, flag the account for personal human follow-up. |
| Reactivate dormant | Reactivate dormant customers with at most two light, value-first educational touches, then rest the account. |
| Renewal window | Open the renewal conversation 90 days before contract end: review the value delivered, address concerns, then ask for the renewal and any expansion. |
The Customer Success and Upsell rule pack tells the agent what to hand to a person: a customer who mentions cancellation or sounds dissatisfied, says usage dropped, brings up the renewal or contract end, mentions payment problems or asks to downgrade, requests a feature or a custom solution, or asks for a refund or a human. It also routes a lead who turns out to be an existing customer or partner to the account owner.
The Customer Success persona asks the agent never to send a check in without an insight, a tip or a question tied to the customer's usage, and to ask direct questions such as how confident the customer is that the product meets expectations. The win back persona never leads with a discount and honors an opt out immediately and permanently.
What the agent does not see
The rule evaluator sees the lead record and the conversation, not your product usage data. The catalog leaves out rules that would depend on usage metrics for that reason: the agent reacts when a customer says usage dropped, and does not watch a dashboard. If you hold usage data, import it as a lead field or a note, or flag the accounts yourself and load them as a list.
Result
Sellinger has no published campaign for this job yet, so the page shows no result and no rate. When a dated campaign with its denominators exists, it will be added here.
