LinkedIn invitation and email pacing planner: how long will your list take?
Enter how many invitations you send a day, how many days a week and your list size. The planner shows how many weeks the list takes, how many people accept and how an email warm up ramps up. The defaults are the ones Sellinger ships: 20 LinkedIn invitations a day with a weekly cap of 150, and 50 emails a day per mailbox with a warm up from 5. These are our defaults, not LinkedIn's rules.

Method
- LinkedIn a week = the lower of (invitations a day times sending days) and the weekly cap.
- Weeks to finish = list size divided by invitations a week, rounded up.
- Accepted a week = invitations a week times your acceptance rate. The box starts at the published figure, about 4 in 10 (39% across 42 customer teams, 90 days to 19 September 2026). Change it to your own.
- Email day limit with warm up = the lower of the mailbox limit and 5 times 2 to the power of (whole 3 day blocks since the start). Without warm up it is the limit from day one.
- Days to send everything = the first day on which the running total of sends across all mailboxes reaches list size times emails per person.
Every connected account has daily limits that the agent cannot exceed, set per account. LinkedIn defaults are 20 invitations a day and 150 a week. Email defaults to 50 sends a day per mailbox, with an optional warm up that starts at 5 a day and doubles every 3 days up to the limit.
A worked example
| Step | Result |
|---|---|
| LinkedIn: 20 a day for 5 days, cap 150 | 100 invitations a week |
| Whole list of 500 | 5 weeks |
| Accepted at 39% | about 39 people a week, about 195 in all |
| Email warm up to 50 a day | limit reached on day 12 |
| Emails sent in the first 30 days, one mailbox | 1,125 |
| Sending 1,500 emails (500 people times 3) | 38 days |
What this planner does not tell you
- It does not state LinkedIn's rules. LinkedIn sets its own limits, which change, and no tool can promise an account will never be restricted. The numbers here are Sellinger's defaults, which you can change per account.
- It does not model replies, unsubscribes or bounces. Every one of those changes the real schedule.
- WhatsApp is left out on purpose: WhatsApp itself limits outbound messaging, so first messages run at a small volume that the app sets per account.
- Sending also follows a schedule you set. With none set, a quiet window of 01:00 to 08:00 local time applies, so real sending days are shorter than 24 hours.
The tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Sellinger or stored, so it needs no account, has no rate limit and costs nothing to run.
Common questions
Is 20 invitations a day a LinkedIn rule?
