How to manage teams and members

Open Members in the app, click Invite Member, enter an email address and pick a role: Admin, Member or Viewer. The person gets an email invitation that is valid for 14 days. You can change a role or remove a member from the same page.

Before you start

You need to be an admin or the owner of the team. Other roles do not see the Invite Member button.
Decide the role first. Admins can manage the team and billing. Members can edit leads and send messages. Viewers have read-only access.

Steps

Open Members
Click Members in the sidebar, or open Settings and choose the Members tab. The page opens with "Manage who has access to" your team name.

Invite someone
Click Invite Member. In the Invite Team Member dialog, enter the Email address and choose a Role. The default role is Member.

Send it
Confirm the invitation. A message tells you the invitation was sent. If the email could not be delivered, the invitation is still created and you can copy the link and send it yourself.

Change a role later
On the member's row, use the role selector to switch between Admin, Member and Viewer. A message confirms that the role was updated.

Remove a member
Click the trash icon on the row, then confirm Remove in the Remove Member dialog. A member can also leave a team on their own with Leave Team.

What happens next

The invitee accepts from the email and joins the team with the role you chose. Pending invitations stay in the list until they are accepted, revoked or expire after 14 days.

Good to know

Owner is not a role you can invite. Ownership is transferred by the current owner.
Only admins can change roles. Only the owner can transfer ownership or delete the team, which is on the Team tab.
You can revoke a pending invitation from the same page before it is used.
A person with Viewer access can look at leads and conversations but cannot send or change anything.

Common questions

How long does an invitation last?

14 days. After that, send a new invitation.

Can one person belong to more than one team?

The Team tab has a Create New Team option, so a person can run more than one team. Each team has its own members and its own leads.

Does inviting a member change my bill?

The Members page does not show a price. Plans and add ons are on the Billing page; see [billing explained](/help/billing-explained).
