Sellinger vs Alta (2026): two AI SDRs, bought in different ways

The short answer

Alta is an AI SDR with agents for outreach, inbound replies and phone calls, sold through a demo and a quote with no public prices. Sellinger covers a similar job on five channels with prices on the pricing page, from $198 per LinkedIn agent a month, and a free start without a card. If you want an AI calling agent and a website chat agent from the same vendor and are happy to talk to sales, Alta fits; if you want to see the price and try it yourself, Sellinger does.

Alta is an AI sales platform with an SDR agent for outbound campaigns, an inbound agent and an AI calling agent, plus a built in contact database. Sellinger is a self serve AI agent for outreach, replies and meetings, with a CRM, a database and a partner portal included.

Who should choose which

Choose Alta if

  • you want an AI calling agent that makes and takes phone calls, and a chat widget for your website, from the same vendor as the outbound agent.
  • you want written outreach in 26 listed languages, set per campaign.
  • you want signal triggered campaigns, with 17 signals across people and companies.
  • you are comfortable buying through a demo and a quote, and want help from a sales team.

Choose Sellinger if

  • you want to read the price before talking to anyone, and to start on a free trial with no card.
  • you want contacts and deals kept in the tool itself, with a two way HubSpot sync, not only a layer beside your CRM.
  • you want WhatsApp and Instagram agents that you switch on yourself, where Alta lists WhatsApp in Beta.
  • you resell to clients and want a portal under your own brand.

How you find out what it costs

Alta publishes no prices, so a cost table would be invented. Its pricing page asks for your team size and says the price scales with it. The trade off of a quote is that you cannot compare before you talk to a salesperson.

Sellinger's prices are on its pricing page: a LinkedIn agent is $198 a month, and five agents are $890 (5 agents at $178). Messaging modules and bundles start with 30 days free and no card.

How much the agent does alone

Both tools can send answers without a person. Alta's Reply Agent replies or labels the outcome, and Auto-Pilot sends every touchpoint, while Co-Pilot has a person approve each prospect first. The design is close to Sellinger's.

Sellinger's agent answers replies and proposes a time, and you can require approval before anything sends.

WhatsApp and the LinkedIn session

Alta runs WhatsApp and SMS as Beta channels through Twilio, and its support article says they appear only if enabled for your workspace. Sellinger sends first messages and follow ups through your connected WhatsApp account at a small daily volume that WhatsApp limits, and answers people who write first.

On LinkedIn, Alta describes proxies, fingerprints and a quota engine behind a Chrome extension, and its pages do not spell out the exact architecture. Sellinger connects through a hosted login and stores no password, with defaults of 20 invitations a day and 150 a week. No tool can guarantee that LinkedIn will not restrict an account.

Switching between Alta and Sellinger

Alta contracts are by quote, so ask your account manager for the term and the seat count before you plan a move.

  1. Check the contract end date and the seats you have bought with Alta.
  2. Connect a LinkedIn account in Sellinger that Alta does not use, and load a list of people you want to reach.
  3. Describe your offer and approve the first messages the agent drafts.
  4. Compare replies and meetings per account over a few weeks before you move a seat.
  • Alta's LinkedIn cooldown of 14 days after a limit signal applies to its own seats, so keep the accounts separate.
  • We have not checked what Alta exports, so keep your own copy of sequences and prospect lists.
