Partner and installer engagement: ask four questions in their language and let a person close
Shelly Group used a Sellinger agent to ask 3,940 installers in 111 countries four questions, in each installer's language. 360 genuinely replied, 225 answered the survey and 64 big project installers surfaced. It was a listening programme, not a sales campaign. The agent triaged replies in about a minute and a person at Shelly took over pricing, support and big projects.

Who has this job
Manufacturers with a partner or installer network, software companies with resellers, any business that has a long list of partners it hears from rarely. A partner team cannot write to thousands of people in dozens of languages, read every answer and spot the one quietly fitting out a very large project.
How Sellinger runs it in four steps
- 1
Step 1
Ask four numbered questions
In the body of the email, in the partner's language, with nothing to click.
- 2
Step 2
Answer in about a minute
Repeat two or three things the partner said. After the survey, one optional line offers a call.
- 3
Step 3
Turn answers into insight
Project types, projects per month, biggest challenge and the one thing to improve become structured fields, with a flag on big projects.
- 4
Step 4
A person closes
Pricing, support and partnership topics get a holding reply and go to staff. The agent triages, a person closes.
Results, with their bases
- With the first email alone, 3.3% would have replied. With follow ups, 13.6% did, which is 4.2 times as many. 76% of replies came only because of a follow up.
- 51% of installers replied in a language other than English, across 21 languages.
- 17 installers booked an optional call. Those are bookings, not held calls.
- Big projects were described in general terms, such as a hotel fit out and an integrator serving business clients. Most of those installers were not top tier in the portal data.
What it does not claim
No sales or revenue is claimed. The October wave was one week old at the data date, so its 2.0% is not a rate yet. Touches 4 and 5 produced the only stop complaints, so the sequence was capped at two follow ups. Before October the agent sometimes improvised on pricing, and commercial topics now go to a person.
