LinkedIn outreach for CEOs and business owners: your profile, your voice, no daily work

Buyers often want to hear from the owner. A Sellinger agent can run on the president's own LinkedIn profile, write as him, and hand every buying signal back by email. At Lamothermic, a US foundry, 879 engineers and buyers were messaged, 293 replied (33%) and 42 conversations ended with a buyer side outcome. The president took each hand raise by email.

Who has this job

The owner of a company with a few big buyers, the chief executive of a mid sized firm, the managing director who still sells. They are the person buyers want to meet, and the one with the least time to write messages.

What ran at Lamothermic

Lamothermic is an investment casting foundry in New York. Its president's profile carried the agent: it connected with engineers and sourcing leads at US makers, asked one short engineering question of about 33 words, followed up every five days and answered within minutes. When a buyer raised a hand, the agent collected an email address and the president continued by email, a median of two prospect messages into the thread.

  • Write as the president: a practitioner and a smart filter, not a salesperson. A polite disqualification counts as a win.
  • State capabilities exactly, including what the company does not make. The president added these guardrails while the campaign ran.
  • Ask who handles sourcing when the person is not the right one. 14 referrals came from that question.

What an executive keeps control of

A campaign can run in approval mode, where every message waits for a person to approve it, or send automatically. A person can take over any conversation, and the agent stops on its own when it cannot answer, for example a price it has no answer for. You connect your own LinkedIn account through a hosted login and Sellinger does not store your LinkedIn password. Each account has a daily invitation limit (default 20, varied by a few each day), a weekly invitation cap (default 150) and a quiet window with no sending (default 01:00 to 08:00 account time). No tool can guarantee that LinkedIn will never restrict an account.

Limits of the result

All 293 replied threads were read and classified by hand. What happened after the hand off to email is not visible, so no deal value is claimed. One study is one company: your buyers, list and offer decide your own rates.

Common questions

Does it post as me?
It sends messages from your connected LinkedIn account, in your voice as set in the persona. It does not publish posts unless you use the posting feature.
Can my team read the conversations?
Every conversation lands in the shared inbox with the full history, and anyone with access can take over a thread.
What if a prospect asks if I am a bot?
Set the answer in the rules, or make it a needs attention rule so a person answers.
